In 2000, George left Canada with Byron Smith and his team of climbers, headed for Mount Everest George shot a documentary of the trek from Canada to Base Camp, and sent daily updates to CBC Newsworld.

On May 21st, 2000, Byron Smith reached the summit of Mount Everest. One of the many things that set this Everest expedition apart from the rest was its focus on educating our youth. People from around the world followed the climb on television and on the internet. Using leading edge technology, the team transmitted live daily broadcasts, making this the most televised Everest expedition ever. Beyond Extreme is a concept developed by Dr.Andries Botha. Andries set a goal and commitment that is without equal  and has never been attempted, to cycle 25,000 kilometers from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska through the "Darien Gap", the most dangerous part of the world and on the Tierra Del Fuego, South America--in 120 days. This lifetime challenge is to raise awareness and money for children with cancer. Gallant Productions is following Andries quest, meeting up with him in key locations, and documenting the challenges he faces.
